our location

Hanks Gallery is nestled on Great Missenden High Street at number 91, just a few yards down from the famous Roald Dahl Museum.

Our beautiful village lies in the heart of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with it’s rolling hills, beech woodlands and historic character. Home to many famous people, artists, literary idols and royal connections, Great Missenden is a wonderful place to visit.

The village is now best known as home to the late Roald Dahl, the world-famous adult and children’s author. It has also been the back drop in many TV shows, including the well-known ITV hit drama, Midsomer Murders.

Come and visit us and we promise to not only deliver you a wonderful experience in the art gallery, but fantastic scenery, great pubs, restaurants and cultural attractions too.

getting here

Great Missenden is easy to get too.

It is on the main Chiltern Railway line from London Marylebone to Aylesbury and the station is a short walk away from the High Street.

The narrow and historic High Street is bypassed by the main A413 London to Aylesbury Road, easy to access from surrounding villages and larger towns.

On road parking is available, but limited to one hour in working hours. There are two main car parks situated on the way into the village from the A413 and a large car park at the train station.
